Animals looking for new homes in Scotland

Available: Storm

Storm is a beautiful 6 year old female Husky/Malamute/Alsatian cross, she is available and looking for a new home. She is great with kids but does get excited wanting to play. She hasn’t lived with other dogs before.

Storm would suit an active owner , someone who enjoys the outdoors and walks.

She is chipped and healthy with no issues. Storm is also registered at the vets and up to date with all her vaccinations.

She loves treats and also loves meeting new people.

Storm hasn’t been around cats, a home with no other pets is best as she is use to having her own home.

Storm can be left on her own if you need to go out, she isn’t the biggest fan of being in the car.

She sleeps in the bedroom but will also at times sleep in the kitchen.

Storm eats wet food in gravy. She would benefit a home that has direct access to her own secure garden.

Storm can be strong on the lead but soon settles down into her walks.

Available: Fred

Fred is a beautiful 6 year old male Husly cross Staffy.

He is very loving and absolutely adores people. He is available and looking for a home.

Fred would suit someone who is active and likes the outdoors.

He is microchipped and neutered and healthy with no medical issues.

Fred would be best in a home with no young children or other pets as he craves all the attention.

He can be very playful and jumps up when meeting new people. He’s never been around cats.

He has lived with another dog but isn’t too keen on other strange dogs outside.

An owner who can burn off his energy with play and walks is best.

He sleeps at the bottom of his owners bed and is also crate trained.

Fred can be left alone if you need to go out, previously he didn’t like to be left alone but has got better and now doesn’t mind.

Fred had anxiety previously and did get medication for this, which he still receives daily, however with a new routine and lots of attention and walks, it’s believed that this could stop (with vet advice too).

Fred loves food and treats and is motivated by food - likes to learn new tricks too.

He would be fine with older teenagers who are calm.

Fred would be ideal for someone who would treat him as their whole world, he is very loyal and loving and just wants someone he can spend time on walks with and cuddle up too.

He would be best in a quiet home.

Fred is a really funny dog, he’s got a really big personality and his fav food is cooked broccoli. He’s always happy to see you and just wants to be involved in everything you’re doing. He is loud and a bit cheeky but loving.

Available: Maru

Maru is a 2 year 10 month old Mixed Breed German Shepherd/Husky. He is available and looking for a new home due to a change in his owners life.

Maru hasn't been around children previously therefore a home with no kids is best. Maru does live with a small dog however can be reactive to some dogs - a home for himself is best for his needs.

Maru is microchipped and healthy with no issues.

He eats soft kibble which is available from most supermarkets and loves treats.

Maru can be left on his own. He loves to meet new people and will often jump up to say hello.

He tends to sleep in different places in the house at night.

Maru is registered at the vets and is fully house trained.

He enjoys natural chews and travels well in the car.

A home with a secure garden would benefit Maru.

Brodie can be left on his own if you need to go out.

Reserved: Cody

Cody is a beautiful and affectionate 18 month old male Border Collie.

He is seeking a new home preferably with someone who has experience with the breed.

He is chipped and healthy with no medical issues.

He is fearful of visitors to begin with and will bark, after a careful introduction (lots of sniffing) he is usually very friendly. He is protective of home and family and will react to anyone directly approaching who is unknown to him, so Cody is used to wearing a muzzle as a precaution on public transport and on a busy high street.

Cody eats Kibble and can be left alone for up to 4 hours, he is also crate trained.

He is used to going out with a dog walker with a group of dogs and is fine. There is occasion where there may be a dog he doesn’t get on with, however it’s rare - usually if the dog appears as a threat due to size or behaviour.

Cody has no experience with cats or small children. He would be best in a home with no kids as he hasn’t lived with them or had any interaction.

He is also registered at the vets and likes to play with toys, balls and frisbee. He’s lots of fun, smart and really enjoys learning new things.

Cody loves a chew.

Deposit/Reservation Statement

Anyone wishing to offer an animal a new home will be asked for a deposit to reserve an animal until a home inspection or checks are carried out.

Deposits are to reserve an animal, so we know the potential adopter is genuine and will not waste our time.

As there is a lot of planning which goes into arranging home visits and checks, we have to take a deposit to secure the reservation and carry out these checks.

If you reserve an animal and cancel at a later date, we will not be able to refund the deposit as work may have already been carried out.

If your home inspection is not suitable or your checks fail, we will refund the deposit, minus the home checkers travel costs.

Any home checks which pass, and once an animal is rehomed, deposits are not refundable - this also applies to any animals rehomed and later returned.
Registration fees are not refundable once you or anyone acting on your behalf has registered a pet for rehoming.

By offering any animal a new home, you agree to our deposit/reservation statement.

Rehoming a pet from previous owners

Help2Rehome Scotland assist previous owners to find their pets a new home when they cannot look after them anymore.
If you offer an animal a new home and rehome direct from the previous owner, it is their responsibility for any paperwork medication, behaviour issues to be handed over/discussed.

Help2Rehome Scotland is not responsible for other peoples pets, including paperwork, medication or behaviour issues.
If you need to return a pet - this should be discussed with the previous owner, not with Help2Rehome Scotland.
Help2Rehome Scotland provide a service to find animals new homes and connect new owners and previous owners with each other - unless you rehome a dog directly from our own registered foster carers.

Abuse of the service will result in service being terminated.
We do not offer “rescue back up” to private individuals pets if a new home does not work out - it’s the previous owners responsibility to take their own pet back if a home does not work out, regardless of how long the pet is in the home.
