“Thank you so much for your first class service, you made an emotional situation much easier and the home check and feedback made us feel comfortable you were making sure Charlie was going to the right home for him.
Thank you.
Fiona”
If you need help to rehome your pet but don't know where to go, please feel free to get in touch with us for some help and advice.
Help2Rehome Scotland can offer a foster service for pet owners in Scotland who need to rehome their pets.
Some pet owners often find they have to rehome due to a new job, moving house, having a baby, going into hospital or due to seperation with partners.
Help2Rehome Scotland offer a friendly, non-judgemental and private service to assist you to rehome your pet.
If you are in a position that you are able to keep your pet until a new home is found, then this would be better.
We carry out home checks on all new owners before an animal is rehomed.
Once a home has been found, we submit a report to you (the owner first) so you can see the home and make sure you are happy before rehoming.
We can also keep you updated once your animal has been rehomed, with photos and updates.
We are not a kennels/cattery, your pet would go to a fully vetted foster carer if you couldn't look after him/her anymore.
We do however prefer animals to stay with their owners until a new home is found.
We have our own costs to cover, such as diesel/petrol/transport costs to carry out home inspections and make sure that animals are safe and going to loving homes.
We charge a one off registration fee to register your pet for rehoming, which is £85 for dogs and £55 for cats, £25 for rabbits and other animals such as birds and gerbils.
Registration fee's help us keep the service running and to rehome your pet and find a loving home.
Please fill in the registration form below to get started.
PLEASE NOTE: Registration fee's should be paid within 24 hours of filling in the form. If you cannot pay the registration fee, please do not fill in the form.
If you fill in the form and do not complete the registration, we will not accept a second form submission.
Once your pet is rehomed, we will keep you updated with photos and updates, we can even tell you where your pet has been rehomed too and arrange a meeting with new owners before rehomings take place, all for your own peace of mind.
Help2Rehome Scotland is a rehoming organisation which helps owners to rehome their pets.
Our role is to carry out home checks, references and photo checks and to make sure that animals are going to safe, loving and secure homes.
It is the PREVIOUS OWNERS responsibility to make sure their pets health and behaviour is up to date and acceptable before using our service.
Help2Rehome Scotland is not a vets and does not cover the medical fees or vet fees for anyone's pets.
We do not accept animals which have bitten anyone or that have medical problems that have not been seen by a vet.
Animals which are on medication by a vet will be accepted and rehomed to any new home with the new owners knowledge and acceptance to continue the animals medical care. Previous owners are responsible for telling new owners about any medication/vet details.
Once an animal is rehomed, if there are any pre-existing medical or behaviour issues which we haven't been told about, the previous owner will be liable to any costs or action.
Help2Rehome Scotland wish to make sure that animals go to the best homes, previous owners honesty in telling us about their pets is very important for us to determine whether we can help and is also responsible ownership from pet owners. Help2Rehome Scotland do not take peoples pets to the vets and have them checked over - this is not our responsibility- this is the responsibility of the previous owner. We will only take a pet to a vet if they are in our care and we agreed to foster before rehoming.
